1. what experience did smiley have that changed her beliefs about chores?
- i think that smiley had the experience of not doing chores to be able to know how important doing chores really is.
*At what point in her essay does she describe this experience?
- She states that she herself wasn't responsible for doing chores, she would leave the house and mess and come back and found it spotless.
*What would the impact of that experience be on you. as a reader, if she had described it some place else in the essay?
-The experience had an impact on me because smiley was not just talking as a parent who did chores when she was young, but an adult who knows that chores makes you a better person.
2. What kinds of reasons and evidence does smiley offer to support her argument?
- She shows that she is not just speaking from what she thinks but what she went through while being young.
*Do you think these reasons and evidence to be authoritative?
- No i don't i think her reasons and evidence comes from experience.
*What does her choice of reason and evidence reveal about smiley's intended audience?
-i think smiley's audience were especially for children but for adults as well.
3. How does smiley use rhetorical questions to appeal to her readers?
- I think she does this so the readers can answer the questions for themselves so it doesnt seem as if she is just preaching on the topic of chores.
