TEENAGE CANCER GENE TEST ( YES or NO )

I feel that its okay for you as a teen to want to get tested for the gene because it somewhat allows you to know what you can and cannot do. for example birth control somewhat causes breast cancer. So if you know you have the gene, that should tell you that it would be taking a chanceusing the pills. On the other hand i feel that taking the gene test so early in a childs life can be very detramental because if he or she knows that they have the gene, after worrying about actually getting it and taking step to not getting it. It will start to become a burden as if they already had they cancer. For example in the article when the girl found out that she had the genes of breast and ovarean cancer she wanted to remove them. Doing this would damage her life interm of being breastless and not being able to have any children because of the fact that she might get the cancer. i honestly feel that if you are going to get tested you should see a counselor a couple weeks before and after being tested.
